Like all non-for-profit organizations we rely on the generosity of friends, family members and more often than not strangers who share our love and passion for the very thing we are asking donations for. We are no exception, we depend on donations to help provide the essentials for the tortoises and box turtles in our care.

 

Many individuals have asked how they can help and have offered their services in the form of volunteer work to assist with the day-to-day care our tortoises and turtles need. I wish we could accept all the help that is offered, but unfortunately we operate out of our personal home/farm and aren’t set up to have volunteers on site. At some point in time that may change and when or if it does we will be thrilled to have all the help that is being offered.

 

The best way an individual can currently help is by monetary donations. These donations are put towards the purchase of food, lighting, heat bulbs, hay, substrate used for bedding, supplies that are used to make more enclosures and other essentials necessary to run a rescue of this type. Funds also help us pay for veterinarian costs which allows us to make sure our rescues receive the best possible care they can.
