If you are interested in adopting a native box turtle, do you intend to allow it to hibernate outside?

What is the intended diet you will feed your box turtle or tortoise?

Do you have common predators of turtles in your area (raccoons, skunks, coyotes, foxes, etc.?)

Have you contacted or found a local veterinarian with turtle or tortoise experience?

By adopting one of our tortoises you agree to pay an adoption (non-refundable) fee of $50. Is this agreeable to you?

Box turtles do not have a fee for adoption, but donations are appreciated. Are you OK with making a generous donation to Tortoise Run Farm when you acquire your box turtle?

Larger species such as Sulcatta and Leopard Tortoises will have a higher adoption fee (not to exceed $100) and we request a phone consultation before adopting them out. Is this agreeable?

If for some unforeseen reason the adoption does not work out, you agree to return the box turtle or tortoise to our rescue so that we may find it another home. Or you agree to work with us to help locate a suitable home. You also agree to forfeit the $50 (or higher fee in the case of Leopard and Sulcatta tortoises) adoption fee. Is this agreeable?

If you are unable to provide emergency or medical care for your turtle or tortoise, do you agree to surrender the turtle or tortoise back to Tortoise Run Farm? (A YES response is required for adoption)
