One of the most frequently asked questions we get here at Tortoise Run Farm is if we adopt out the tortoises that end up in our care. The short answer is yes, but the longer, more complicated answer….. adoptions are not as simple as transferring an animal placed with us to you. We want to make sure you fully understand the commitment these amazing animals require and that you are prepared for animal that will most likely outlive you.

 

Many of the turtles and tortoises that end up here are the victims of neglect and some have continued health needs. Others come here because their original owners have had a life change that did not allow for them to keep their beloved pet. No matter what their backstory is, we love them all and want to make sure they go to the best possible home.
